About this house rental
The house is located on an upper level overlooking the gardens. From its terrace, you can dine while enjoying wonderful sunsets with the Sierra de Grazalema as a backdrop.
The outdoor spaces feature magical nooks and gardens where you can reconnect with nature through all five senses. You can embark on a sensory journey, letting yourself be intoxicated by the scent of roses or lilacs, experiencing the contrasting textures in the herb garden, or savoring a tomato plucked from the garden.
The gardens retain their original design with stately elements such as the Carthusian-tiled benches surrounding the central fountain or the olambrillas paving, blended with other traditional touches like colorful geraniums or the small pool where you can take a dip.
Attached to the house is the Chapel of Our Lady of Carmen, dating from 1862; although it still houses the original statue of the Virgin, it is now a space open to all faiths.
In the library, you’ll find a wide variety of books that let you continue traveling from your couch, from a lounge chair by the pool, or from a hammock among the trees.
During your stay, you’re welcome to use the yoga shala and meditation chapel in your free time.
We have a 40-square-meter yoga studio that was built on top of the old stable, leaving the original walls and other features exposed.
El Carmen Yoga House is a space dedicated to wellness and health care.
To complement your stay, we offer individual and group yoga classes, meditation sessions, womb blessings, Thai massage, foot reflexology, sound baths, and qigong, among other therapies. We’d be delighted to provide you with contact information for massage therapists and other practitioners.
