About this house rental
This cozy little cabin is located just .3 miles from Montauk State Park, and the river is just a quick walk down the hill. It sits beside a larger house that is not always occupied. The beautiful Current River has some of the best trout and fly fishing in the Midwest. Montauk is known for the fantastic fishing, canoeing, hiking, biking, swimming, and caving. We now offer shuttle service to the river and from the airport. The hot tub is temporarily closed because of the Covid.
The space
A larger house next door is available for rental as well. The cabin has access to the large private deck and venue space and hot tub attached to the house that can be used as an activity venue for friends and family if the house is not rented. There is some problem with phone access with phones other than AT and T because of the remote location. Wildlife is plentiful, including some recent bear sightings.
Guest access
Guests have access to the cabin and all the things in the kitchen for cooking they need. This includes a hot plate, a microwave oven, an air cooker, and outdoor grill. It can sleep 2 people comfortably and has a loft as well that is perfect for someone small. They also have an area to park their car.
Other things to note
In the cabin there is bed space for three people. The full bed has a bunk bed on top. The loft has a full mattress that people can sleep on, but it is a small space and might be difficult for some adults to get into because of the ladder. I have had several fishermen sleep there and they seemed ok with it, but it is a small space. You can enjoy the outdoor amenities, however.

We used the cabin while visiting nearby Montauk State Park. It was very easy to access the park, and we loved that the cabin was quiet and private. We had a bonfire, admired the stars at night, and sat on the porch. The kitchen is small but had all the things we needed to cook or warm up meals. We did not use the tv/dvd player, but there were several dvds available as were two board games. The bathroom and cabin were clean and orderly.
