Gorgeous decor, fantastic location.

A little hot in two of the bedrooms, though acknowledging it was summer and temperature in the mid 20s. The fans were appreciated.

Daphne Cottage is a newly-built, new to the holiday market, bungalow property, which was a real pleasure to visit and is very accessible for families, mature people, and guests with mobility issues. It was lovely to be welcomed into such a large space, which had been so thoughtfully designed, decorated and furnished. The kitchen was well-equipped, with some useful provisions such as foil and cling film, and the crockery etc. were of good quality. The fridge and freezer are full-size, which is useful. The bedrooms and bathrooms were plush, with some beautiful decor, and powerful rainfall showers, if they’re your thing! The garden landscaping will be lovely as it matures and as the cottage is in the Peterley Wood estate, it felt peacefully rural, yet was within short walking distance of a farm shop, and a cafe, which is handily open (with a limited menu!) on Friday evenings. The cultural, foodie and retail delights of Beaconsfield, Great Missenden, High Wycombe and Marlow, are each only a few minutes drive away. Highly Recommended by Ann & Dave, September 2025.
