The Refuge, Wendover

We are a group of 5 leaders / 7 guides aged 10-14 staying in the area for the Chilterns20 hike with Scouts. We had a very early start so needed a base. Chatgpt suggested this property which I booked... and when the start of the hike was announced 2 weeks ago, it was a meer 6 minutes from where we wanted to be! On arrival: The host helpfully sent us a really clear video of the turn in to the property, where to park, position of the key safe and the key code. Couldnt have been clearer. Rooms: were all very comfortable - with more bed capacity than this website had suggested. Kitchen: was well equipped. Lounge: lots of seating - all the girls watched Traitors on TV while the adults prepared 12 lunches for the hike and checked our first aid kits / maps etc.. Great property for large groups.

Kitchen would benefit from some additional cutlery. But really - couldnt fault the place! Look forward to coming back net year.

Spacious and clean with very good communication

The location was great and the house was great

Everything was great

The Property was spacious, clean, could fit our party of 15 comfortably. The host was incredible when it came to making sure we had everything for our stay.
