Highgate House

The location is superb, but if you are a light sleeper the chiming minster clock might be an issue for you . The property has character and is well equipped.

Our stay was in very hot weather and the bedroom in the roof was just too warm for me , but any similar room would have been .

Beautifully appointed, characterful property close to the Minster and the town. Ideal location for a weekend away.

Had a bit of difficulty getting into the property as the front door lock was temperamental and we had no access to the rear door.

The house is beautiful and has everything you need. Full of character and lovely, calming period decoration that just makes the house feel relaxing to be in. Beverley is a beautiful town and the location is second to none. Parking is also a bonus, we managed to park directly outside and because we wanted to stay within Beverley, we were able to walk everywhere. We had some fabulous meals out (there is a great 1 star Michelin restaurant nearby too) and the whole experience felt welcoming (fabulous owners checking in to ensure everything was OK and that if there were any issues, we knew it would be easy to get in touch - PS there were no issues at all!) and homely. We've already booked again for next year!

Property was clean. Nicely done out.

The bells went off every 15 minutes 24 hours a day! On the hour 24 hours a day they bonged! They did not stop at night. We are exhausted. It was like torture.
