Cosy but all you need and so close to the Morillon gondola!
We thought this place was a real hidden gem! It’s so close to the slopes and having the shop below is very convenient. It’s nice to have such a large dining room table that feels very sociable (particularly if you have people already asleep upstairs) although the noise does travel with it being so small. The living space upstairs feels spacious and cosy and the slanted ceilings were fine for my 6’3 husband! It feels roomy, the alcoves for sleeping won’t suit everyone (obviously not sound proof if you have noisy sleepers) but for our group it was fine, I stayed in the twin with my 2.5 year old and then the two other adults each had the double and sofa bed - sofa bed is comfortable but be sure to pack an eye mask if you are sensitive to light as the street lights do shine in.
A couple of things that would improve the place; - A welcome pack with some general instructions on location of ski locker, general ski lift info, oven thermostat info, recycling bin info/locations, restaurant recommendations, check out in instructions as none were provided etc) - A few more home comforts on arrival (a whole toilet roll would be nice, a couple of bin bags etc) - A dvd player or fire stick for non French visitors, particularly useful if you have some worn out children! The above are just recommendations though and we loved our stay. Very close to the gondola and you really don’t notice the shop being below (we were worried about noise but didnt hear a thing!). The host doesn’t speak much English which is fine (we speak very little French), so we got by with google translate We would definitely book again.
