Luxury Sky Escape in Sydney Olympic Park

Great location, great view and setup in apartment

Missing towels for 4 guests and few other things but host was great and brought them to us

Pros: - Location fantastic for the quay centre - Large open loungeroom with dining table and great kitchen - Air conditioning worked well - One bed was very comfortable - General area was clean - Shop was close to pick up keys - IGA beneath the building was great and open til 11pm - Having a carspot was fantastic!

Cons: - The second bed is actually a blow up mattress so not great support wise. - The sofa bed, is a sofa bed but not a traditional sofa, it actually folds down and is definitely only big enough for one person but that is what is advertised, so that's fine - The shampoo and conditioner bottles have some mould on them but they functioned fine and were good quality

Incredible view! Amazing size, great modern kitchen and bathroom. We were able to check in early so we had somewhere to leave our bags. Thank you! The fact that even the outdoor table and chairs had been wiped down and were clean impressed me. My daughter loved the complementary Mentos mints!

Neither air conditioner worked properly. The living room one didn’t really cool, just blew air and the bedroom one spat water out all over the floor and bed when I turned it on so I had to turn it straight off again. It was unbearably hot in the afternoon/evening as the apartment gets the western afternoon sun straight in. There was no way to cool the room to be a comfortable sleeping temperature at night after it had heated up so much so I had to leave the bedroom balcony door open all night which let bugs in and I didn’t feel secure. The bed sheet kept sliding off the mattress - a fitted sheet would be better (and a flat sheet on top for Spring and Summer). The bottom cushion of the lounge/sofa in the living room kept slipping out, which was uncomfortable. I had no idea it was a B&B, I thought I’d booked a hotel room, so I was confused and anxious when I arrived, not knowing what to do. Thank goodness my phone call was answered straight away and the instructions for check in were then given. Check in instructions were actually very good. But a message the day before saying the check in instructions would be sent the next morning would’ve saved a lot of confusion and anxiety. As I thought I’d booked a hotel room, I was counting on the hotel minding my suitcase while I went to an event. Making it clear on the description on Booking.com that it’s a B&B would prevent the arrival confusion and anxiety and allow guests to plan their stay better. There was also some kind of breeze coming up (I think) from the fire escape opposite the apartment which made the front door click with the air pressure all night. I tried to block the air using rolled up towels under the door to stop the clicking but it didn’t work.

View was great and location for event was perfect.

We paid for a place with 2 rooms. 1 room was a blow up mattress which was comfortable enough however neither bed was made and there was no clean bed linen as they had been left out on a clothes horse and had bird poo on them. No spare linen in cupboards either.
