The community! I think people keep coming back to this place because of the community and collective activities. I stayed in one of the dorms, and everything was ok in general, nothing problematic. I only used it to sleep and bathe; other than that, people generally spend their time in the restaurant area, jamming music, chatting, or going places together. They have a wp group where the everyday staff announces some activities such as sunset watching, quiz night, dining at a warung, etc. People were great, sincere, and welcoming; met many. Overall, the vibe is unique, would recommed anybody (:

I skipped surfing lessons since I thought they were a bit expensive compared to even Uluwatu prices, which are generally higher, and laundry was piece-based rather than by kg, which seemed weird tbh.

Lovely quiet area in Uluwatu. We joined a surf lesson one morning here and couldn’t recommend enough! The instructors make sure your safety is priority. The pool area is lovely along with the bar and cafe.

Walls are quite thin so can hear neighbours conversations, however, they do give earplugs.

Cool vibe. Lots of solo travellers around keen to hang out. Often someone is playing guitar in the evenings. Food at the restaurant is great too. It was lovely hanging out on the day bed in the restaurant.

We had the deluxe room, which was rustic and a good reprieve from the heat. The bathroom was pretty gross though. I don’t think it’s been deep cleaned for a long time.
