I wouldn’t use VACASA you will lose your money no matter the condition of the lodging conditions
The location of the site was very close to where I was working.
I am not a fan of being forced to go through VACASA. Under booking.com
Day 1 of us arriving we notice the unit the code did not work. I reached out to the host and asked him he informed me that I had to contact vacasa, vacasa had my try the code about 8 times. After which the host came outside and handed me a key to get in the door. Once inside we noticed did not have running hot or even warm water for personal hygiene. After notifying vacasa they said I had to give the host a chance to resolve it and if they couldn’t I would have to reach out to vacasa again then a person will contact me to let me know what the plan was. (No one ever contacted me). No shower or personal hygiene other than a cold “bird bath” after a 6 hour drive.
In the beginning of my conversation with vacasa I asked what the policy was for me being able to seek lodging elsewhere due to not having basic needs at the place I already paid to stay. The representative (Joann the night shift manager) informed me I can leave or check out but I would NOT received any kind of refund. Which after $710.21 Im stuck at a place where I can’t even shower.
Day 2
The host said he was going to have the heating unit replaced and a quick fix was to reroute the sink waterline to the shower. He later dropped off a short hose and a plastic link that didn’t work. Later in the evening he dropped off something that fit. (I did all of the work alone, and it still did not heat up)
Once again the heating element was not replaced.
Day 3
Still no hot water and no update from the host on the unit getting replaced.
Day 4
Decided to leave immediately after my meeting were over. Returned to the unit to spend the night before heading back on a 6 hour drive still no change or update. Decided to head home early where I can enjoy a shower at home after 3 days of bird baths.
I would not recommend vacasa in ANY fashion on renting a house, room, apartment or tiny home ever. Worst customer service.
