Lotus Villa Dehiwela

We had a wonderful stay at this house in the heart of Dehiwala. It is in an excellent location, just a short walk from shops, restaurants, and cafés. The house was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. The caretakers were exceptionally kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Every morning, they prepared a delicious homemade Sri Lankan breakfast with a variety of choices. When we arrived, we were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink, which was a lovely touch. They also stocked the kitchen with sweets, fresh fruit, milk, water, coffee, and tea—thoughtful extras that many other hosts don't provide. We stayed for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Colombo.

Our only suggestion for improvement would be to install an air conditioner in the living room. The fan alone wasn't sufficient, as it mainly circulated the warm air, making the living area quite uncomfortable. We also preferred not to open the windows because of the mosquitoes. The bedrooms were well equipped with air conditioners, so having one in the living area would make the house even more comfortable, especially during hot weather.

The property is located in a very convenient part of town. Easily accessible. Safe and quiet neighborhood. We liked the fact the property was very private and we felt like we were in our own home. The support staff at the property is absolutely top notch. They are so helpful. The cook is just fantastic. Every dish prepared was amazing. There was no hassle and reach the place, receiving the key or any other check in process. The host is one of the most kindest and accommodative people I have met. He was so understanding and flexible when it came to our meals, comfort and even when we wanted to extend the stay by 2 days. We will definitely stay here again.

There were quite a bit of ants in the rooms and kitchen area. That was a bit of a concern as we couldn't keep any food out.

The host Mr. Ruvan was very accommodative. The caretakers Mr. Kamal (speaks Tamil) and Mr. Sadun were excellent and helpful.

The location seems to be tricky.. on the google maps it shows No8, Dharamaram road, Dehiwella. The address on the booking site isn’t the same and it’s bit confusing. However, the host is kind enough to guide you exactly to the location of the property when you need it.

Truly exceptional service, spotless clean, amazing host, great location, quiet, lovely flower garden, excellent kitchen supplies including an oven and blender, clean drinking water (very rare in Colombo!), good air-conditioning, great wifi, no electricity outages, near the beach and grocery store. I've traveled to 80+ countries and never stayed in a million places, and never had such great service. The doctor and his staff were so helpful and kind, ensuring the place had everything we needed and even added special touches like candles and lovely soaps. It has great energy and a wonderful, sophisticated book collection too!

Everything was truly amazing, no complaints!
