Beach Mount Apartment (Blue Ocean Apartment)

The host, Mr Faizer, and his wife Husniya were both very kind, accommodating & helpful - they saw to all our needs. And if they were off site (ie not in or near the Beach Road Apartments), the two security guards (Harsha Silva & Dananjaya) or the caretaker/maintenance man (Krishna) saw to our every need - all were exceptionally helpful, courteous & professional in their behaviour, and also spoke fluent English. The apartment itself was on the first floor and was beautifully adorned with good quality furniture. The super large lounge & three bedrooms all came with easy to use and working air conditioning. The view from the large lounge windows (of our apartment) of the sunrises/sunsets on the sea adjoining the Mount Lavinia beach each day was amazing. All you had to do was walk out the front gate (of the apartment complex) & do a short walk of around 50 m and multiple restaurants were located there, running alongside the beach, all the way to the Mount Lavinia Hotel nearby. My mother and my favourite eatery was the Boathouse Chandra Restaurant as all the food was delicious there. The ONLY negative I could say about the apartment was its nearness to the main train tracks - the noise during the early hours of the day was dreadful. At around 04:00 or 04:30 in the morning, intercity trains would loudly roll down the tracks, every hour or so. However, luckily, I had a great pair of earplugs with me & used them every night. After the first 3 nights, the sounds of the trains running down the tracks or blowing their horn did not bother me too much. And my mother (who is 83 yrs old) was NOT bothered at all by the train sounds & slept soundly every night.

The apartment is a spacious 3 bedroom apartment with all comforts of a home thoughtfully provided. The host was very welcoming and kind and ensured we had a wonderful stay! the location is excellent!

Cleanness

location is prefect very central

the kitchen stuff needs to be updated. the owner needs to look into this, it has all worn off stuff and the cupboard is not kept clean bad odor and smells, no kitchen towel, the kitchen stuff all needs to change, and no proper spoon, fork, pot, had moles, most of the kitchen stuff the owner need to throw it away n get better n quality stuff living room aircon was not working when we checked in,t.v was there no cable there, can't watch any movies. the owner needs to check the unit is in proper condition before leasing it to the client, not after the client checks in we need to update all the defects. bed quality is cheap quality.
