Senoma Hotel - Adults only

A lovely hotel, situated in a beautiful setting, with friendly staff.

The location is pretty stunning in the oasis. Awesome views from the pool. Good restaurant. Clean room.

We asked for a paid late check-out weeks before the stay. We were told we need to ask on our arrival. It was not very well organized. On our arrival we asked them and the only possibility was to change to another room the next day. This is not what we wanted. We were wondering why they did not book us in the room which will be free the next day... but anyways. It is their monetary loss. We decided not to use the late check-out. Also the power (and wifi) went out the next day. I ordered something at the bar which they forgot "due to wifi issues". Also there were no towels in the room and we had to get them from the reception. Overall minor issues but they could improve their processes.

Had an excellent stay at Senoma. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool and pool area was lovely and relaxing. Dinner was delicious. We also did a chocoteja making class which was free and great fun

Nothing

We can’t thank the reception staff enough. We arrived early morning from Arequipa but were exhausted. Unfortunately my partner had got food poisoning and had been sick all through the night. The lady behind the front desk checked us in early and we were so grateful.

If you don’t like loud, and I mean really loud, music don’t stay here. From midday until 4pm they had a pool DJ. It was so loud it penetrated everywhere and made any form of relaxation impossible. In the end, despite feeling exhausted, we had to go out for a walk to relax. After the pool DJ along came the pool salsa band….they played until 10pm. Again, it was so loud and there was no escaping the noise. What is really unfair is that there is no mention of this on booking.com. So do yourself a favour, if this is not your scene and you want to relax, just avoid! Furthermore, why is that some hotels feel completely justified to convert the dollar booking rate into soles at an inflated rate. This hotel was the most expensive in our one month Peru trip, but they added another $11.00 by converting into soles at an inflated exchange rate. Not withstanding the early check in, which we did appreciate, this practice along with the insufferable music which is not advertised, left a very sour taste. You’ve been warned!
