Hillcrest San Diego Canyon Oasis

Location was great - peaceful, friendly neighborhood; super close to SDZoo and Balboa Park; groceries and restaurants within blocks. Nice patio in back with picnic table and umbrella. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. Sectional coach provided more sleeping space. Plenty of bath towels. Washer and dryer is a bonus; laundry pods provided! Enjoyed having a second TV in the bedroom. On site parking is great. Had an issue with lockbox not working. Easily reached host and maintenance was very responsive. Windows had intact screens allowing us to open them for fresh air in the evenings. Coffee supplies, beverages and snacks were greatly appreciated!!

Typical issues for an older building - ran out of hot water if took showers back to back. AC was very cold in main area but bedrooms got warm with doors closed. Could use another chair and side table in living area. Stools at dining table are worn out and unsteady. Lamps in bedrooms did not work. Keurig machine needs to be replaced. Some of these are easy fixes that would increase the value.
