Im Bätzenboden – A Charming Family Home in Wengen
Welcome to Im Bätzenboden, a cozy and spacious free-standing house located in the peaceful area of lower Wengen. This charming alpine home is ideal for families or small groups looking for comfort, space, and a touch of adventure.
The house features three inviting bedrooms, plus loft:
A master bedroom with a king-size bed plus access to a loft via a ladder (please use caution), where you'll find two single beds – a fun hideaway for older children.
A second bedroom with a king-size bed and a trundle bed, making it a flexible triple room.
A third bedroom with two single beds.
The home is fully equipped for families, including a baby bed, high chair, and changing table.
The heart of the house is a spacious and well-stocked kitchen that opens into a comfortable dining and living area – perfect for sharing meals and relaxing after a day in the mountains. Just off the kitchen, a bright reading room offers beautiful views and a peaceful place to unwind.
Outside, the garden provides plenty of space for children to play while the adults enjoy the fresh alpine air.
Chalet Im Bätzenboden is located approximately 10-12 minutes' walk from Wengen village centre. The walk is downhill from the train station on arrival and uphill on the way back – it’s a scenic and peaceful route. For added comfort, especially when arriving with luggage, we recommend using a local taxi.
3 heated indoor ski and boot storage is provided in the town near the train station and cable car for your convenience and is free of charge.

Wengen is a car-free mountain village with no road access. Guests must park in the valley below in Lauterbrunnen and take a scenic 12-minute train ride up to Wengen. It’s all part of the magic of arriving in the mountains!
