Yummy House

The shared toilet was clean and well stocked. My room had great ac, and it was at a great location, great massage spots nearby and the malls not that far either. Was easy to take the metro from airport and walk to the hotel.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.8/5) Yummy House is a great place to stay for solo travelers like me. At 22 years old, this was my first solo trip, and I found it to be a comfortable and budget-friendly accommodation. The hotel offers private single rooms with a shared bathroom. The bathroom is located directly across from the room and is shared by only two rooms (mine and the one beside it), which makes it much more convenient and less crowded than a typical shared bathroom. The facilities exceeded my expectations. The room is just the right size for one person and features a large window that lets in beautiful natural light every morning. Although the air conditioner is not the coldest, it works well enough to keep the room comfortable—you'll even find yourself using the blanket at night. The shared bathroom is spacious, clean, well-maintained, and all the fixtures and utilities function properly. My only concern was the noticeable gap around the lower part of the room door, which allowed a significant amount of light from the hallway to enter at night. It wasn't a major issue, but I hope the management addresses it to improve guests' comfort. Another great feature is the pasta restaurant located on the ground floor. It's very convenient if you get hungry, as it's open until 11:00 PM. Yummy House itself is accessible 24/7, making late check-ins or returns hassle-free. However, the property is not suitable for guests with disabilities, as it is located on the fourth floor of the building without convenient accessibility. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. Don't hesitate to approach them if you need anything—they are very accommodating. One small observation is that the staff spend most of their time at the reception area, which is close to some of the rooms. This wasn't an issue for me, but providing them with a more private staff area could improve both their comfort and guests' privacy. If you accidentally leave your keycard inside your room, you can simply ask the staff at the restaurant downstairs, and they will gladly assist you. The location is another major advantage. The nearest train and bus stations are only a 4–5 minute walk away. It is just one station from Phaya Thai Station (Airport Rail Link) and Siam Station, providing easy access to popular destinations such as Siam Paragon, Siam Square, and Siam Center. Pratunam Market and Platinum Fashion Mall are also within walking distance, approximately 12–15 minutes away. The walk is enjoyable, especially if you like exploring and observing the neighborhood. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Yummy House. It offers excellent value for money, clean and comfortable facilities, a convenient location, and genuinely helpful staff. Despite a few minor areas for improvement, I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to fellow solo travelers.

My stay was for 2 nights. 1st night was good. Place was near bts station and the airport train station. Room was clean, and the shared bathroom was old but working fine. AC was also working great and while the room overlooked construction, there was good sunlight. No lift though so you have to go up and down the stairs (place was on the third floor, and you have to enter a kinda fancy restaurant to access the reception area. THE BAD AND WHY I WILL NOT COME BACK: SOMEONE (TRIED TO?) OPEN MY PADLOCKED BACKPACK. Next day of my stay I went out early and came back at around early evening to put down some bags. However, when I arrived I found that my bag with a lock looked like the zipper was forced open. I went to the reception and asked for cctv to check. I had to go somewhere else so I had to go but I was already nervous since I was alone in the room and someone had opened my bag. Accommodations did not even message me to inform me of their investigation. Instead, I had to message them because I did not want to go back. I ended up going back late and barricading my door because of safety and security issues. The door had no door chain. Did not get a good night's sleep and was only informed in the morning (after I went back to reception desk) that they found nothing. Take note that there was no cctv in the actual hallway and the only cctv was in the reception area. When I arrived back to my home, I noticed that my local currency bills were gone. Staff will only apologize for the issue but will not do anything to ensure your safety. Will never book this again. Very disappointed with what happened.
