This place is literally everything for solo travelers, good location, good people, good facilities and the best one is the Aura rooftop I would never stay anywhere else in Athens now

I stayed in a private suite from 31st of May to 1st of June 2026
Overall, I had a good stay and would recommend this hostel, especially because of its excellent location and amazing rooftop views. The property is within walking distance of Monastiraki Square and many of Athens' main attractions, making it very convenient for sightseeing.
The suite was comfortable overall. The bathroom and shower were good, although I believe the bathroom could benefit from a deeper cleaning, as I noticed a few hairs and some areas that did not seem thoroughly cleaned.
The mattress was also too soft for my preference, and the pillow was quite high, with no thinner option available.
One issue was the check-in process. My check-in time was 3:00 PM. I arrived around 2:30 PM and was asked to wait, which was understandable. However, when 3:00 PM arrived, I was told I would need to wait even longer. Since I had a commitment scheduled, I explained that I could not delay further.
The staff eventually prioritized preparing the room, and I was able to access it shortly after 3:00 PM.
Another disappointment was that housekeeping did not service my room during my stay. When I returned later, the room had not been refreshed, and the toilet paper was almost finished without being replaced.
The breakfast was okay. It is served à la carte rather than as a buffet, with a few menu options available. It was sufficient, although I ended up purchasing some additional food afterward.
Regarding the staff, they were not unfriendly, but some of the reception team could have been warmer and more welcoming. On the other hand, the gentleman who assisted with luggage storage and helped guests at the entrance was exceptionally polite and professional.
The neighborhood feels authentic and local, with a mix of older and newer buildings and a diverse community. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe walking around the area.
Overall, this is a good hostel with a fantastic location, impressive rooftop views, and decent private rooms.
There are a few areas for improvement, particularly housekeeping, room readiness at check-in, and consistency in customer service, but I would still consider staying here again.
