Excellent walks and footpaths from the door - the Manifold and Tissington cycling trails are nearby. Both Dovedale and the delightful village of Hartington are a short drive away. The market towns of Buxton, Bakewell and Ashbourne are 10-12 miles away. Shop 1½ miles, pub 350 yards.
