Great place, made with love to original owner/artist.

Host lives nearby, he met us and helped with settling in. Apartments are well furnished, kitchen loaded with small and useful amenities, etc.

There is a construction site nearby (expected to finish in 2 months, according to what host told us). To be fair - it didn't cause us any trouble or noise.

A modern apartment with a soul

I travel often, both for work and for pleasure, and I can honestly say that Atelje 1981 is one of the most remarkable apartments I’ve ever stayed in, as it combines the poetic soul of a lived place with all the comfort and care of a freshly renovated, lovingly managed home. The apt has its own identity, shaped by the artistic legacy of the painter who once lived and worked here—coming back in the evening and leafing through the beautifully catalogues of his work is a wonderful experience. And then there is the Polimski family, who are extraordinarily warm and welcoming hosts and made us feel more than just guests. Finally, Bijelo Polje — a small town, yet surprisingly a place where a lot of creative energy has taken root: from the painter Polimski, to the poet Risto Ratković who lived just next door, and the epic storyteller Avdo Međedović. I couldn’t recommend this place more, hope to be back soon!!

The accommodation is completely new and clean. It has a beautiful atmosphere and an interesting design, with everything you might need available. The property is actually an art studio belonging to a well-known Yugoslav painter Rasim Hadrovic Polimski, and you can see his original paints and artworks inside, which adds a special charm and cultural touch to the space. Dino is an exceptional host — incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you may need. His warmth and hospitality truly make you feel at home.

Tout ! Nous avons tout aimé. L’atelier converti en appartement, une décoration magnifique qui reflète toute une vie de créativité, un lieu cosy dans lequel vous vous sentez comme à la maison, des équipements au top et surtout la gentillesse des propriétaires… une incroyable gentillesse et un amour pour l’histoire et l’œuvre de leur père et grand-père dont ils peuvent être fiers. Sincèrement, si nous pouvions donner plus de 10/10 nous le ferions sans hésiter. Nous reviendrons plus longuement l’année prochaine pour profiter du charme de ce lieu.
