Zlatar Luxury Chalet - TRACE OF NATURE 2214

A perfectly located accommodation if you are planning a trip to UVAC national park. The owner is always reachable through phone and was very willing to help out with any issues we faced (like the electricity not running). Even though we were near a main road the enclosed private garden easily made up for this.

The chalet itself is fantastic. It has literally everything you need and looks exactly as shown in the photos. It is very spacious, with a beautiful terrace, balcony, garden, and BBQ facilities. It’s perfect for couples or families of up to four people. If I were rating the chalet alone, I would definitely give it a 10. However, the main reason we booked this accommodation was to enjoy being surrounded by nature, and unfortunately, that part did not meet our expectations. For that reason, I couldn’t rate the overall experience higher than a 7.

The chalet is located directly on a main road with constant traffic, including many trucks, which makes it quite noisy throughout most of the day. The only really quiet periods are very late at night and very early in the morning. I was surprised that none of the previous reviews mentioned this, as I think it is an important detail, especially for guests who are booking this place because they are looking for peace and quiet. Another important point is that there is a hotel right next to the chalet, with an outdoor swimming pool where loud music is played throughout the day. Unfortunately, the combination of constant road noise and loud music from the neighboring hotel really takes away from the experience, particularly if your main reason for staying here is to relax and enjoy a peaceful setting in nature.

Super comfortable chalet in a great location. Loved the outdoor terrace and the garden for the dogs. Great restaurants (inc Oro du Lupo) within walking distance and a nice walking loop through the woods and to a viewpoint. Great location for exploring the sights and the Uvac meanders. Ski area on your doorstep in winter. Super service from the host, Igor :-)

We had an absolutely perfect stay at this chalet on Zlatar. I visited with my wife and two daughters, and it was the ideal setup for a family. One of the standout features is how spacious the place is—even when our friends came over to hang out with us for NYE, there was plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed. The facilities were excellent and everything was in great condition. It truly felt like a home away from home in the heart of the mountains. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat with great amenities and enough space for the whole family (and guests!), I couldn't recommend this place more. We will definitely be coming back!
