Les gîtes du Tilleul de Cassel

It’s in a stunning location, really beautiful setting with the garden, trees and views over the surrounding countryside. It was good value for a short break. The property was clean and ready and the instructions to get in were clear.

We stayed as a family with our daughter. It was difficult to ascertain when booking what related to which of the two properties. This could have been clearer. The property we stayed in was the four person one, and it was well equipped but had two coffee machines and no microwave, the latter would be a good addition given there are only two jobs for cooking on along with the oven. There was only one bowl, those breakfast cereal eaters struggled with a rota and had to take turns. On the last afternoon we had around five hours of leaf blowing and patio washing going on which was simply annoying and we never mind done maintenance or external cleaning happening but this was rather over the top. The spiral staircase is quite high as it goes across all three floors. Not a surprise to us but it was a long way from the bedroom at the top to the bottom level bathroom.

Voor rust en een mooi uitzicht van de natuur moet je op deze plek zijn. Zelf een hert gespot in onze tuin. Wij waren hier met ons gezin, veel naar het strand geweest in duinkerke vanaf de locatie 40 minuten rijden. Restaurants in het dorp kan je lunchen maar pas 19:00 uur avond eten houdt daar rekening mee. Buffelo grill is een goed vlees restaurant ongeveer 20 min rijden. Gastheer is een aardige man, waar je altijd bij terecht kan.

De trap van het huisje is van metaal en lastig te belopen. Voor kinderen en personen die slecht te been zijn is dit lastig. Beneden in de keuken en douche is het plafond heel laag.
