The apartment is very well equipped, with everything you need for a few days stay. The cleanliness is meticulous, you can't complain about it. The host is very nice, he responded to messages almost immediately. The apartment is in a less popular part of Catania, a bit run down, but the people are very nice. We felt safe. The Borgo metro stop is a 10 minute walk. The city center is about half an hour on foot. A well-stocked grocery store is 5 minutes away.
The people living next door were a bit noisy at night, but this is not the owner's fault, but it all quieted down around midnight. Mosquito nets could have been on the windows, but this is just an idea. Also, it would be time to clean the air conditioners.

It was an easy 25 minute walk to the Duomo. There were supermarkets and bus stops within the immediate vicinity. Communication with the host was efficient and recommendations for restaurants were excellent.
