AKHNATON Pyramids View Hotel With Rooftop Access & free airport pickup

The best part of this hotel is the amazing view of the pyramids. Waking up and having breakfast with the pyramids right in front of you is truly an unforgettable experience. In addition, the hotel offers great value for money, the food is delicious, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Communication was smooth from booking until check out, and they even allowed us to extend our stay by five hours for free. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this hotel.

The best hotel we could have chosen! At this hotel, you not only get a beautiful view of the pyramids - this place is the whole package! We had half board, which meant a huge breakfast every morning and a soup and main course every evening. All the food we had here was exceptional. Mr. Amr Elshoura and the rest of the breakfast team made sure we wanted for nothing when starting our day, and their contagious good mood sent us off to our adventures with high spirits every day. Fouad, Omar, Abdul and Selim took amazing care of us every evening with plentiful food and their very attentive manner, and made every dinner a real experience. On top of that, with all your meals, you will get to enjoy the view of the pyramids when sitting on the rooftop terrace - an absolute highlight on our trip. The reception staff was extremely accommodating and helpful, not only helping us book tours, but also answering all our other questions, including where to find a tailor. You can rest assured that you will be in incredibly good hands here! The room was very clean, and, like all staff members, the cleaning staff was incredibly friendly. We had very comfortable beds, and an AC that saved us from overheating in our sleep during the June weather. WiFi was available in all areas of the hotel. The pyramids are within walking distance, and you can very easily get to multiple places in Giza and Cairo by Uber, or book trips through the hotel to get a private driver and guide. The tours we took with the hotel (Alexandria and Saqqara, Memphis and Dhashur) were very well organized, and both our driver and our guide were amazing, so we would definitely recommend booking through the hotel if you want a guided tour! The neighborhood the hotel is located in is generally very safe. We (two women, 31 and 74) felt comfortable walking there at all times. Five minute walking distance to Sphinx entry. Only 15 minute drive to GEM. Great view of all 4 Pyramids from rooftop and some rooms.  Particularly fantastic at sunset. Our room was large and clean with separate lounge area and balcony with views of Pyramids. Large bar fridge with tea/coffee making facilities. Large bathroom with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Good air con and lighting. Breakfast was included - although a limited buffet style spread - its taken on the rooftop terrace with views of Pyramids Looks like the building has been recently renovated.

Unfortunately there were so many things we didn’t like that we cannot recommend this property. Giza as a whole is pretty third wordly and chaotic, however keeping this in mind, these were our complaints. Noise was a constant problem both during the day and at night. Inside hotel - noise from other people was amplified by the tiled floors.  Our room was on the 2nd floor and all we could hear was the people upstairs constantly dragging chairs across the floor. Also inconsiderate guests partying on their balcony for hours (midnight to 3:30 am), talking loudly and slamming doors in the middle of the night with absolutely no regards of others trying to sleep.  Reception did nothing to stop them. Outside hotel - Car noise, animal noise, constant dogs barking, people noise, call to prayer music and chanting from mosque acoss the road at 4 am, even fireworks noise, it was just endless noise. The state of the road this hotel is on, as well as smell from the animal excrement that covers it, and the stock pile of rubbish just down the road was shocking to our first world eyes and sensibilities.  It really stunk so you could not open room window or fully enjoy the balcony. Being on a street that has an outdoor horse and camel stable directly across the road was more than interesting.  If you don't like animals being whipped and mistreated this is not the place for you. Wi-Fi internet provide by hotel was only intermittently available often dropping out and with limited range within the room. To be fair, I think that most hotels in Giza near the two Giza Plateau entries probably face these issues.  The place is ...very unique.  If you want to avoid these issues it might be best to stay in Cairo and just visit Giza on a day trip.
