Location and furniture.
Building site on arrival. Noisy, unclean entrance. Not equipped to standard. Not ready to receive guests as no heating or hot water on arrival. Unable to get a response from the manager when My property host on 4 occasions said someone would contact me regarding the issue. Still waiting? Informed by builders electric boards not set up, as yet, for the property, was now getting on for 9pm at night and issue not resolved or even addressed! Had to go out to buy two heaters to ensure my elderly brother and disabled daughter, also asthmatic had warmth as now getting cold. Apart from us, appeared to be an empty building once workers finished. During working hours, noisy building work, workers on the scaffolding outside the windows. Water gushing in, said CLOSED windows, where power washing of stone building taking place. In Whitehaven for a funeral. Regularly use Booking.com as visit this town frequently. Never had such a negative , stressful experience! My property host insisted a deposit paid on arrival ( "only time I saw or spoke to " the manager") before we were allowed to enter property, stating nothing would be taken, it was just incase property damaged. Property left in immaculate condition...would only require beds and towel changes. On returning home, checked my credit card app to see £200 taken by My Property Host?????? In the stressful process of getting that cancelled. It's incredulous ANYONE is allowed to do business like this. Will go as far as Rip of Britain if this not promptly resolved!!!
