Colonial shophouse with terrace in Chinatown

Proximity to public transport and restaurants was good. The owner responded in a timely manner to all communication and worked with us in a positive way to resolve issues we had with the house.

The area around the apartment is noisy. I wouldn't recommend if you are a light sleeper. Street, traffic, restaurant, and jazz bar noise are part of staying here. Be aware that the stairs in the house are very steep and not suitable for people with mobility issues. While I appreciate the house is of original architecture and design in the area, the stairs were far steeper (with narrow treads) than I imagined. Given that the bathroom and toilet are on the bottom level, going up and down the stairs is often required. More information in the listing would have been helpful.
