We had a lovely stay at EverGreen Resort. Rooms were comfy and clean and the gardens were gorgeous. Great value for money. Our host was so kind and helpful and even woke up at 5.30am to welcome our safari guide! And still made us breakfast even though we got back very late. Breakfast was one of our favourites in Sri Lanka, traditional food and the potato curry balls were unforgettable.
Location was peaceful and quiet but a 10-15 min walk to the main street, which was fine for us. There was not much to do in Udawalawe, so it would have been nice if there were some fans or cooling in the garden so we could spend time enjoying them instead of escaping the heat in our rooms. But overall we were really happy with Evergreen
