The apartment was modern and well equipped. Beds very comfortable. Location great as close to town and north beach

The front communal entrance area was very dirty and tired looking and carpet looks like not been cleaned in a while. There was a hole in the wall where the back of the front door had hit the wall. I have to admit that I wondered what I had booked with these first impressions. Once we had reached the apartment though, we were very pleased with standard of accommodation.

The rooms were beautifully styled, good quality, light and clean. Lovely. They are on the second floor, so not ideal for the less mobile but very nice once you are in. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the double glazing worked well so it was quiet for sleep. The kitchen was well equipped - small microwave, induction hob, enough crockery and glasses etc. There was a small ice box at the top of the fridge, rather than a freezer but we ate out often so didn’t do a big shop. There were board games for adults in a cupboard and TVs in the main room and another in a bedroom. It was a good choice for us to stay and we would book again. Great location. Close to North beach - once you’ve gone down the zig zag slope or the alternative steps, the beach was a wide sweep of golden sand and gently slopes to the sea. Ice cream/drinks are available from a cafe and you can hire paddle boards or kayaks reasonably from a kiosk. Also an easy short level stroll to restaurants and the local shops, but not in the busiest part itself. About 6 mins walk away, you can get a boat to Caldey Island which was worth doing and a nice day out.

Getting the key to work in the entrance door was a bit tricky. Remember to pack a tea towel for drying up
