About this house rental
House of Comfort—historic structure with a modern ambiance
Acquired in 2021 as the oldest listed half-timbered house in the village; completely gutted and restored in phases using natural building materials (clay, straw, sand, reeds, various types of stone, slaked lime, etc.). A combination of rustic and modern design elements ensures a very comfortable stay. By removing walls and exposing the exposed beams, interconnected living spaces were created.
Open and bright, illuminated by numerous windows, the hallway, kitchen, dining, and living areas. The spacious bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower, a large sink, a toilet, and a bidet. One bedroom and an optional bedroom/living area currently accommodate 4–6 guests. (The upper floor is under construction)
Cozy warmth during the cooler months thanks to wall and floor heating. Behind and above the house is a large natural garden meadow with a view of the castle; with places to lie down and sit. Right nearby are forests, meadows, rocks, lakes, streams, and springs, as well as rapids and weirs; the night sky is a paradise of stars—pure nature in the immediate vicinity. The cross-border Palatinate Forest–Northern Vosges Biosphere Reserve is a fabulous natural paradise.

One bedroom and an optional bedroom/living area currently accommodate 4–6 people. (The upper floor is under construction)

On-site fees: Children up to and including age 6 stay for free. When booking, please specify only the number of travelers over 6 years of age and note under “Comments/Information for the Host” that a child under 7 years of age is traveling with you. Maximum occupancy: 5 people (including children).
Check-in is from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00, and check-out is from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
