We had 11 in our group (5 kids) and were very happy the house was as pictured with great common gathering space. Great location to walk to downtown and an easy drive to multiple Acadia trail heads. Beds were comfortable and the host was responsive.

It is a beautiful, spacious house in a gorgeous area! Our family really enjoyed staying here with Acadia & Bar Harbor so close by.There was no air conditioning at the house, which is common for the area, but it made leaving windows & doors open for air flow in the Summer difficult…The house is right off the Main road, so the auto traffic going by is pretty loud, especially with leaving windows open to cool off at night. We did not have garage access, just noting here in case that’s something needed. We slept 12 pretty comfortably, using the pull out. 14 people would have not been as comfortable especially with few bathrooms. Overall, it’s a lovely place in a fantastic location for experiencing Mount Desert Island!

First, the area is very beautiful. We thought the house was a little further off the road, but it was a little too close. Road traffic was heard in the house. The house was clean, but it does show somewhere in tear. The kitchen was well stocked with needed items. The week we stayed. The weather was warmer than normal. The owner installed window air conditioners to help with the heat. He was very responsive to any requests that we had. The outdoor decks are very nice. The yard and landscaping along with the fire pit could use, a little more attention as far as the vacation goes. We had a wonderful time and a really good experience.
