    Staff were horrible, no hot water and spent half of our stay arguing to move rooms so we could have hot water. Water also came out brown. Had a power outage in the city, the hotel had no backup generators so we were forced to walk up and down 17 floors of stairs. *** tenge a night for the privilege, will never stay there again.

    We stayed in August 2026 for three nights . The facade and lobby is iconic and the rooms though worn out have an old world charm. We could get a deluxe room/ junior suite high up that gave us wonderful views of the mountains. Breakfast spread is nice and the ambience on the mezzanine floor over lobby is relaxing. That said, the negative point that stood out was general service, which lacked promptness. I guess they are having difficulty in managing so many guests , it’s a huge Soviet style hotel . Location is excellent. I recommend it for a one time stay to

    We stayed here to have authentic and the vintage feel. Although the wifi is a bit slow or no connections, we enjoyed our stay here . Recommended for tourist

    The hotel rooms appear to be quite dated. We noticed that the bathroom sink was cracked, and the toilet seat seemed unstable, as if it's mismatched. Considering the price we paid, which is comparable to a four or five-star hotel, we found the amenities to be quite basic, even regarding the toiletries provided. Breakfast was also average.
