The Core Albergue - Female Only

This is a good place to stay if you are solo it is a shared bedroom or like bed spacer but not all the times you are full in one room sometimes you are alone or you are just two because other beds are not fully occupied. Also, there is an elevator which is a good factor if you have a big luggages. And you’ll meet a lot new people from different country which is a good experience. As everyone who stays here are very friendly. And the staff/owner are very nice. Also, the location of this place is very near in the station. And daiso and olive young and other restaurant. Since mostly stays here are students because it is near in school. So far I enjoyed staying here!

It’s located nearby 2 lines in a quieter neighborhood, however, all the rooms are in the basement so it’s dark and the bathroom is filled with mold. Considering it’s all female and there are only 2 wet room style bathrooms meaning that everything gets soaked when one person showers. The wait to use them was long in the evening/morning and there’s no option with just a toilet. The rooms are small and with no windows feel even smaller. There is a kitchen and TV room but as there’s no full time staff (the owner is a man who lives on the floor above) you have to call or message for assistance. There are mini fridges in each room and you’re provided small towels and a roll of toilet paper for your stay. It’s bearable for a night or two.

Budget accommodation located 5min walk from the subway station. In 30/40 min you can get to the main attractions and only 1 stop to Yongsan Station. Very quiet, room is small but has everything you need, comfy bed, floor heating worked well and did not need to use the A/C dispite it was freezing cold outside. Bathroom a bit small but it does the job with a good shower, both hot water and pressure. Wifi strong and stable at all times. The host Byron was very helpful and proactive. 50k keycard deposit returned upon check out. Only a minor thing as commented already to Byron, the blinds dont stop much the sunlight coming through early in the morning, but not a big issue anyway. Only small towels available but it seems to be custom in South Korea. Recommed it!

Booked property due to free parking/car park mentioned in both property listing and chat bot. Upon arrival was denied parking and property owner tried to blame the situation on others and avoided giving a solution other than to charge me double what I payed to stay there just for parking. Owner was rude and kept avoiding responsibility even though I had reached out to confirm about free parking/ car park. The staff was super nice and trying to help, but unfortunately had to just get out of there over this situation. Thanks to agoda and their staff, after hours and hours of back and forth with the owner, was able to get a partial refund and left the next day. I am utterly shocked and disappointed with how things were handled, the owners attitude, and lack of professionalism. Never in my 5 years of being in Korea have I ever experienced this kind of "service".
