The room was very modern, clean and well equipped with anything you need. I couldn’t find any hardware piece or utensil missing in the kitchen. The AC unit was powerful and worked wonders. But the real lifesaver was the washing machine and the clothes dryer. Really useful to be able to wash your clothes after the Okinawa heat. I don’t remember if there were any washing machine tabs/gel/powder provided as I was using the ones I brought from home. Even with google lens translation I couldn’t find any longer, more intensive washing program with a higher temperature setting on the washing machine. The default program is really fast (25 minutes or so) but it’s slightly underwhelming and I would recommend using it twice for any sweaty batch of clothes. On the other hand the dryer was very powerful. You would not get your clothes dry without it in Okinawa’s humidity. The table and chairs on the balcony were a nice touch, but it was too hot to eat outside. The contact with the host was perfect and the house rules document useful and informative, even providing information how to get to the location by various means of transportation. The parking spot was also large enough and easily accessible to park a Toyota Yaris even when driving on the wrong side of the road 😉

My biggest problem with the apartment was that it’s only one room and the description (I’ve read it a dozen of times) clearly lists “bedroom 1” and “living room” as two separate rooms. It’s described like that both in the actual booking “text” description and in the list of beds (“bedroom 1: double bed”, “living room: 2 convertible sofas”). I do realize that this is probably either a cultural or a translation issue (the listing probably done in Japanese and I am reading it in Polish). I also notice that on one else is mentioning it in their reviews. I guess I only have myself to blame because I could have asked after booking but before payment. On the other hand, to my defense, I also booked an apartment in Asakusa, Tokyo and it was actually two separate rooms (bedroom and living room with kitchenette). The Tokyo apartment listing actually had an entire floor plan included so there could be no doubts there. Crest Blue was over 50% more expensive per night than the Asakusa apartment so I was expecting two rooms here too. I didn’t give it that much thought, to be honest, since it clearly listed two rooms. Really you could expect the apartment to just have a wall between the “two areas” with a sliding door, as those do exist in Japan. It was a real disappointment to discover it’s just one room as I was traveling with a teenage son… The convertible sofa was also not ideal (as it consists of two parts, divided in 1:2 proportions and they might get separated when you wiggle in your sleep) but I had no problems sleeping on it. As I understand, they are described as two sofa, but for an average height European it's 1 small sofa divided in 2. There is no wardrobe or dresser, only hangers. Location: Kin is perhaps not the most exciting and touristy spot in Okinawa and suitable only for guests with a car (which is fine). However (AFAIK) there is no beach with an anti-jellyfish net and the closest one is in Onna 20 minutes by car. Churaumi Aquarium is 1 hour drive away.

便座が不安定、浴槽に手すりが無い、お風呂場内で洗濯物を干す棒が無い、靴べらが無い、BSが観られない。 おかゆ？用のおたま、木でなくプラスチックの炒め？用おたまはあるが、メタルのおたまが必要。 プラスチックのマグが一つひび割れていた。 茶こしが欲しい。 まな板のクオリティーが悪過ぎて怪我しそうだった。 だいぶきんが欲しい。 ナイトテーブル代わりのテーブル、もう一つ欲しい。 ハンガー少ない。 物入れるboxが必要。 スーツケースに物を入れたまま生活した。 ベッド、sofaにダニ？がいたのか全身が痒くなりファブリースのような物が無いのでヘアードライアーで消毒してバスタオルをひいて使用。 リネン(シーツ)が化繊でアイロン消毒不可。 赤茶っぽいゴキブリの1/3の大きさの虫がいて、シンクと壁の間に逃げました。次のお客さんがチェックインする前にバルサン消毒するべき。

シーツがシワシワ。 洗った物なのかわからない。 干すところないから、洗濯して乾燥機で乾かし、ベッドメイキングした感じ？ これがとても残念でした。
