Tweedies Gully Estate Settlers Cottage Barossa

The cozy fireplace - from the beginning it was a lovely experience to stay for the night , nestled in a quiet gully - no road noise - you can see the stars - fresh air - great facilities. Provided some firewood to get us started , some complimentary surprises they were so thoughtful- I’ll def pack my bags again and stay longer - great hosts - had a tasting the next day - my fav drop so far is the Syrah. Very happy with our stay . Bed was comfortable and my daughter 2 loved the bathtub .

Nothing - I couldn’t find some scissors but that’s not a hindrance- got creative with a knife to open up my bag of additional firewood .

The cottage is so beautiful, nestled amongst the grape vines. Every room is carefully decorated, each item considered with the theme of area and guests' comfort in mind. The hospitality of the owners is second to none. A visit to their cellar door on site is a must. What a delightful experience with very tastey wine. This is a place you will never forget.

Nothing, even in rainy cold weather, there is the fireplace and games.

Pretty stone cottage carefully and tastefully restored with very comfortable furnishings. Two living rooms; one formal with wood heater would be great on winter nights. The back living room has a pretty outlook towards the vines and the beautiful trees on the property. Outdoor seating area under a vine covered pergola. Complimentary wine and delicious pasta which we ate on our first night. Very private and quiet. We were there on Good Friday so very little was open but the house was so pleasant we did not mind spending more time there. Dorham was very attentive to our needs and an excellent communicator. We would love to come back but it's a long way from home.

Kitchen is small with limited bench space and only a small two burner hotplate. But it is well equipped, considering the limited space and lots of considerate touches such as marshmallows for hot chocolate. The bathroom is a bit dated and the positioning of the mirror a bit high. No bread knife (very minor issue). Small fridge but there was a full sized dishwasher.

The location was secluded and quiet - wonderful. The wi-fi worked well. Beds were comfortable

The TV was a mystery. I could only get channel 10 as the remote didn't appear to work. More instructions may have helped. The induction hot plate took time to figure it out. One pot and one frying pan were a bit minimalist. We could have used more saucepans.
