San Juan Apartment

Great place to stay for a couple of nights while exploring San Juan.

The place is next to a big road. We were fine with it but if you are a light sleeper, you might wanna discuss who sleeps in what room :-) Because the room in the back, is quieter.

The apartment was fine - very clean, comfortable, simple. It had a fun exterior design with a great rooftop terrace and also a ground level outdoor sitting area that was somewhat shielded from view on the street sides. It felt secure. Access was easy and parking was right there. The air conditioning was excellent and the two bedrooms provided plenty of privacy. It was about 10 minutes to Old San Juan in one direction and the same to the airport in the other direction. It had easy access to main thoroughfares through the city. Our host was responsive by phone and email and there was someone at the site to greet us and help when we arrived, which was great.

The downside was that the very busy highway went right by the apartment and the noise was quite loud, even inside with the windows shut. We got a little bit used to it, but heavy traffic continued well into the night. We also would have appreciated some information about how to navigate the immediate neighborhood, i.e., where to find a convenient grocery, nearby restaurants, etc., and whether walking to them was advised.

The space, the air conditioner was quick to cool, loved the location and quietness We had a small inconvenience and the host came in within the hour upon reaching out. I was very pleased!

Ubicación en un barrio bastante deficiente de servicios y poco seguro. El mayor defecto ha sido el Baño del apartamento, mínima presión de agua que hizo dificilísimo darse una mínima ducha. Además había una conexión eléctrica instalada en el grifo de la ducha con grave peligro de electrocución. De hecho, en la ventana de la ducha había un marco en el que entraba la corriente!!!

El baño, peligroso por instalación eléctrica y de fontanería juntas que generaba un grave riesgo de electrocución. Esa instalación, por lo menos en España está rigurosamente prohibida. Una conexión eléctrica instalada en la salida del agua de la ducha!!!. Además un flujo de agua miserable que hacía de la ducha una odisea. Finalmente el precio que nos cobraron: según Booking.com, y en el momento de la reserva el precio fue de 440$USa, pero allí nos dijeron que por cambio de moneda y recogida de basura?, el precio total fue de 561$. Una estafa.
