2-bedroom Lake Front Cottage in Harwood ON #4

The photos are very accurate. Of course, during winter and occasional snowstorms, any inconvenience was due to the weather—not the cottage itself. On the contrary, the heating system is excellent, the hot water system works perfectly, and the cottage stays warm and comfortable. The overall comfort can easily be enhanced by bringing a few personal “comfort” items, as we did. I’ve read some negative reviews, and I believe they stem from unrealistic expectations—perhaps expecting full hotel services in a rental cottage. Keeping in mind that this is not a full-service hotel stay, the experience exceeded all of our expectations. That was the clear consensus in our family. The person in the office, located very close to the cottage, was extremely cordial and helpful. When we needed the gas tank for the barbecue replaced, he promptly took care of it and was always readily available on-site whenever needed. Thank you—you truly made our stay more comfortable. We brought a few additional items that we personally prefer using (paper towels, napkins, spring water, our own pillows and preferred covers, shampoo and similar items, extra garbage bags, etc.), and everything worked out perfectly. The only thing we missed was additional hanging space for clothes, as there is no closet or hanger aside from hooks behind the door. A mat by the sliding door to the deck would also be helpful; we brought our own, anticipating the need. Overall, the experience is like staying in a rental cottage, but with far less hassle since water and heating are fully taken care of. Price-wise, it is absolutely fair. We look forward to coming back in the summer.

A hanger for bags and clothes in the bedrooms would be really an improvement.

The location was great, The fireplace inside was a great touch

Quiet and serene. It would have been warmer with heavier curtains and rugs on floors because it's cold inthe winter n it makess it cozied for ur feet. The sliding doors didn't lock properly but other than that it was peaceful and I would definitely book again. They take awhile to answer messages so when u want to extend u have to give I time but they are pleasant and vary accommodating.

Ausstattung war auf das absolute Minimum reduziert. Es gab nicht einmal Abfalltüten (nur eine einzige). Unter dem Sofa stapelte sich der Dreck und kurz vor Check Out kam die Nachricht, dass man doch reinigen sollte?!
