Ik ben heel warm ontvangen door de gastheer, wat meteen een prettig gevoel gaf. Het ontbijt was eenvoudig maar goed — een croissant, een koekje, fruitsap en koffie — geserveerd in de woonkamer met een prachtig uitzicht. Dat maakte de ochtend zeker aangenamer.
Helaas bleek de verwarming in mijn geboekte kamer met eigen badkamer stuk te zijn. Ik kreeg de optie om de iets warmere kamer boven te nemen met gedeelde badkamer, maar dit was geen haalbare oplossing omdat ik mijn puppy bij had. De (sobere) kamer die ik uiteindelijk gebruikte was erg koud door de winterprik. Er werd wel een klein elektrisch vuurtje voorzien, maar de gastheer gaf aan dit ’s nachts niet te gebruiken omwille van het hoge elektriciteitsverbruik. Zelfs wanneer het toestel aanstond om te douchen, bleef het behoorlijk kil. Dit maakte het verblijf minder comfortabel.
