Bica Central Lisbon

Lisbon is huge so location is irrelevant but the location is quiet, there is no partying going on outside at this location. The room was adequate; the bed was comfortable. The owner was responsive to guest that were up all night which was against their rules - that I really appreciated! There was a line for hanging out your clothes to dry if you hand washed your clothes.

It appears the owner has multiple places that he manages. When they say there is no early check-in, believe them, there is not leniency on this, there is no luggage holding, Find somewhere is if this is what you need. The bathroom is bare minimum. There is no place for your clean clothes, or a hook for your towel or for a bag with your belongings. This cost little to nothing so it would be a help to the guest. There was a washer that was advertised via pictures. There were always items in there that I assume belonged to the owner, so don't expect to wash your clothes at this location.

Hostel très sympa, propre et bien situé au centre de Lisbonne. Facile à trouver, calme et le check-in était très simple. Très bon séjour, je recommande !

Pas de clim

I liked the location. Thankfully there was a fan in the room! It was definitely needed, even in September!

The bathroom needs improvements. There was no place to hang cloths.

Nice and quiet neighborhood Comfy bed and good pillows The owner was friendly and apologized for not cleaning the room, he cleaned it himself

I was about to give this property a much better review, despite the issue I faced, but when I checked the reviews again, I found out that the same problem happened with another guest just a few days before me and the owner used the exact same excuse to justify it. I arrived at the apartment at 10pm, and the room was not cleaned, I contacted the owner and he told me that the cleaning lady "got confused" and cleaned a different room which is exactly what he told the previous guest which you can see in the reviews. I waited for more than 30 minutes until the owner came to the apartment, apologized and cleaned the room himself (he was friendly and apologetic). I was totally fine with that especially that he was friendly, but what changed my mind is when I saw another review complaining about the same exact thing, I don't appreciate that type of behavior, so I decided to post it here as apparently there is no cleaning lady to start with. I will put pictures of the room when I arrived for reference. Overall cleanliness really needs to be taken care of at this apartment, you can tell it is not being taken care of or invested in enough, just a money making machine. On another note, the bathroom shower does not have a holder, it costs nothing to fix that, I just don't understand why?!
