Chiado - Bairro Alto CozyApartment

-Location is great, close to everything. -All facilities and self catering amenities were there, I didn't find myself needing too many things. -The housekeeping lady and the host were nice, patient and helpful at the start of the trip when there was a bit of a misunderstanding. -AC was great. -Having a physical key for the apartment is so useful, I much prefer that over typing a bunch of numbers at every door. -There is a bagge locker right next to the apartment, we found that very useful when we had to leave our excess luggage when we went to Porto.

-Although the apartment is good and useful, it isn't exactly the most comfortable and nicest accommodation out there, at least not in that price range. -The mattresses and pillows weren't good at all, the bed was uncomfortable and pillows were low quality. -The apartment was small and the layout was weird and awkward. -Water temperature in the bathroom was annoyingly inconsistent (it goes from very hot to very cold randomly no matter how you set it), and whenever someone was using the shower a machine would start working in the kitchen which sounded annoying for everyone else in the apartment. -There is barely any storage for your clothes and all, we had to keep everything in our suitcases in living room.

Great location-- close to many transit options and tourist sites. Tons of restaurants and cafes to choose from.

It was noisy in the evenings, with a lively nightlife. Hosts were not responsive to Whatsapp request for assistance.

Location was amazing. Right in the middle of everything! Loved that it had two separate rooms.

The beds were rather uncomfortable

When we checked in, the apartment hadn't been cleaned yet, so we found it extremely dirty and full of trash from the previous guests. The host didn't answer the phone or reply to our messages until late evening, when they finally sent someone to clean.
