A lovely 2 bedded terrace house

A gem of a cottage and so uplifting from the moment you walk in. We loved the stylish way the whole cottage is decorated. The kitchen is so tastefully & exquisitely done, with everything you need & more. We loved the TV on the kitchen wall (fab quality picture too) which was great to have on as we cooked. It was very kind of the owner to leave essentials such as tea bags and coffee and condiments. We loved the little garden & we had lovely weather too so we enjoyed our cups of tea sitting out there. The beds were super comfy with quality bed linen and towels. The village itself is beautiful too and we managed to park right outside the Cottage which was a bonus! We found a gorgeous place to eat on a Monday evening a few minutes drive away called the Tickled Trout. My steak & ale pie was amazing! The cottage owner was very kind and allowed us a late checkout too which was greatly appreciated. We booked the cottage to stay for our son’s graduation from the university of York. I just wish we’d discovered the cottage three years ago when he started in York, not as he was leaving!

The only slight niggle was the water pressure in the bathroom, the water would stop whilst showering when my husband was making breakfast & running the tap in the kitchen.

Beautifully furnished house. Spotlessly clean. Loads of character. Close to amenities, 2 pubs and a shop.

No lock on bathroom door a minor issue.
