The host is wonderful individual, very responsive, kind, and polite person. A lot of Kudos to him! The apartment is neat, in a perfect location and I highly recommend it!
It was a bit noisy - but after all it was world championship in soccer and Spain won! :)

Very close to centre of Madrid and two Metro stations. The flat was clean and had a pod coffee machine (with enough pods for us to each have one drink each morning). Quiet neighbours when we were there. Decent noise isolation from good double glazing and solid window frames. High floor lessened the street noise
The flat is on a high floor but overlooking quite a busy road. Most of the time is was quiet enough. However the bottle bank on the pavement below could be noisy early in the morning, as it was being emptied. Also Friday and more so Saturday night were noisy with drunks in the street. The bathroom also smelt a bit musty.
