Waterfront 4BR apartment with breathtaking views and direct access to the sea

We traveled to Nice with our adult children and the house was perfect with four bedrooms and four en-suite bathrooms. This is very hard to find in Europe. Everyone had privacy and the common space was very open and relaxing. The views are spectacular and we enjoyed watching all of the activities in the area. We walked everywhere but also took the bus several times.

This might be the best property I have ever rented. The location was perfect and the kids were in the water every day. The rooms were large and clean and the blackout shudders allowed us to get incredible sleep. AC was a luxury with temperatures in the 90s. Parking was super helpful as well. They had a great kitchen and lots of cooking essentials so you can get some food at the market close by and cook a bunch of meals at home. Sunsets were amazing! Donna was very easy to coordinate with and we hope to be back in the future!

I cannot say enough positive things about this property. We loved the location to walkable beaches on both sides. The home finishes are top-notch. The views are spectacular. My family would have preferred to never leave. Book this place if you have the chance, you will not be disappointed.

Everything about this property exceeded expectations. Host Donna was an amazing chef and communicator. She made us feel at home and arranged our transportation to and from the airport. The location was so close to the harbor and the telescope in the unit helped us zoom in on the huge yachts and sailing ships. A short walk to groceries or breakfast. We used Uber to get to the Promonade and train station or beach clubs. Everthing was modern, sound system and security. Our family was beyond comfortable and the views were amazing even from some bedrooms. Five star property and service!

I rarely write reviews, and am reluctant to write this one because if word gets out then this property will never be available again! The house is all you see and more. It’s like being on a yacht, but better in my opinion. And as stunningly beautiful as it is, it is even more comfortable. The beds, the pillows, the modern bathrooms with great showers, the large kitchen … we never wanted to leave. We could have spent the whole time in the house and felt satisfied. Thank you to the owners for giving us the vacation of a lifetime by staying in their magical place! Things to know: grocery is 7-10 minute walk uphill but has everything you need and if you are planning to train around the area the train stop is a bit of a walk, but that was not a problem… lots of convenient Ubers and we enjoyed the walks. I cannot say enough good things about this magnificent house! I can’t imagine a better house anywhere on VRBO. This was better than any 5 star hotel I have stayed in…. In summary, it doesn’t get better than this!

Our family of 5, and sometimes 6 adults, absolutely loved loved loved this home. The views are better than the pictures and the location was perfect for us. We truly felt like this was a second home for us. We explored much of the French Riviera during the week and getting around was easy. We hope to come back and enjoy it again!!

A group of six stayed at this wonderful property on the sea. We celebrated a milestone birthday. The place was just as nice as it appeared in pictures and the views and location were excellent. It is a beautiful, unique setting with breath-taking views of the water and city. It’s obvious things were recently redone and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found beds comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied. We would definitely rebook if back in Nice. The host’s agent met us upon arrival and showed us around, which was an added benefit. Very nice property!

As you can see on the pictures, it is a gorgeous and very well taken care of property with a magnificent view of Nice. We spent our Christmas week and it was within walking distance to everything. We highly recommend staying there and we are thinking of coming again!

Our family gathered here to use condo as base camp for a weekend of local wedding festivities. Handy location. Fun swimming in the sea just down below. Walking distance to restaurants. Great deck.

Our group of 7 had an excellent time at the condo - we wished we could stay longer. The views are unbeatable and the interior is in pristine condition. Philippe (owner) and Donna (property manager) were both wonderful to work with. We had the absolute best time, enjoying mornings watching the morning water activity, afternoons on the balcony, swimming by the rocks below, and watching the sunsets before dinner. Would definitely stay here again if we make another trip to Nice. Highly recommend - you will not be disappointed!

Our group of six had a wonderful time at this property. It has incredible 270 degree views of the sea, the port, and the city of Nice. The apartment is very well appointed, with many features that go well beyond the typical vacation rental, including modern yet classic furniture, modern appliances and even great utensils and glassware, and more. It is not huge, but it is perfectly laid out, with 4 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, and several seating areas/groupings that give everyone their space. These areas include an indoor side porch, corner dining room, kitchen, large living room, group balcony with lots of seating, and a private balcony. The views from each of these spaces are amazing! It is well located, but in our case we certainly walked a lot, including walks to Villefranche-sur-mer, the Port, and the Old Town. We would, and hopefully will, go back.

This apartment is better than it looks in photos. It has every thing you could ever want or need, the location is perfect, magical and just outside all the touristy parts of nice. So you are really in your own peaceful haven. The view from this apartment cannot be described with photos - will definitely be coming back!

We had the pleasure to return to this exceptional unit after the recent expansion/renovation project. The unit was already exquisite; and the changes make it drop dead amazing...even more than it already was. The panoramic views from nearly every room are incredible. The building is quiet and the location ideal--just off the busy part of Nice, but with the best ocean-side view in all of the Riviera, in our opinion. The unit itself has every comfort you would need. the beds are comfortable, the details like extra blankets and a sufficient supply of towels are appreciated. The kitchen has everything you need; and exceptionally clean top to bottom. There really is no other place like it. We traveled with two moms and the space was large enough for everyone to have their own privacy and comforts. We treasure our time there, and hope to be afforded the opportunity to return again. Phillipe is exceptionally attentive and great with responsive communications; and Donna who manages the place locally is a complete delight. Your stay here will reset your highest bar--so prepare for being impressed.

What an amazing space Pierre has created in Nice! I've stayed in some very nice places around the world, this space perhaps taes the cake. The only issue is parking space is tight so if you aren't comfortable handling a vehicle, park on the street. Thank you Pierre! I hope to return one day to your home!

Our family enjoyed this incredible home and I can't even find adequate words to capture how much we appreciated so many unique aspects of this condo that feels like a cruise ship! Every other review is spot on--it is everything as posted and then you will be delighted to enjoy so many unique aspects of staying here. --Our family of four was perfectly comfortable--excellent beds, clean and well appointed furnishings, even having floaty tubes for my kids (well, for my enjoyment as well) we enjoyed having while splashing around in the beautiful sea. --The unit had good security which we appreciated; and was in a very quiet area off of the busy of the promenade; yet we could admire the view and it was a quick walk or drive to get over to all of the key places to visit in Nice. --We were greeted by a wonderful property manager, Donna; a delight and she also rescued us by sending Enzo with a spare set of keys when I managed to lock us out of the unit and also locked us in the car park! (We couldn't believe he was there in 5 minutes.) Incredible service. So the security was excellent...but be sure not to leave by accident without your keys! --We are busy planning our return. We fell in love with this area--Villafranche, Saint Paul de Vence (not to miss), old Nice and of course the sea with the pure blue water. --We over-estimated our driving abilities as able to maneuver the parking with a small SUV--we had a Peugot small 7 seater, and not a chance it would fit in the parking spot if another unit was parked in the stall adjacent. Heed the warning to only bring a very small car if you want to park onsite. --Carrefour delivers--which was a great tip from Donna, and in the unit we found brochures about Urban Motion just over by the port--they rent electric scooters (and Bikes also). We had a complete blast and rented them for a few days and it was easy to get anywhere in short order on the scooters. --We have traveled many places; stayed in many vacation rentals and also luxury hotels, but this one topped our list all around. It is so unique and I will never forget the sound of the waves crashing all night while I drifted in and out of sleep. --Last but certainly not least--the owner was incredibly responsive and pleasant. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to enjoy this special home. We would love to return.

From the moment we walked into the apartment all my expectations about it were surpassed. The views are out of this world! Words cannot describe the serenity and beautiful views from almost every room. The apartment is spacious, very well designed, and completely renovated. Having 2 separate bathrooms with complete walk in showers were ideal. Not having the shower in the bath was great for my elderly Mum. Wine time on the balcony took on a whole new meaning, needless to say, dinner was very late every night because although the kitchen was extremely well designed, and functional, not to mention the views, nobody wanted to get up from the chairs to get it going. Phillipe was very communicative, and responded quickly with any questions prior to our arrival, and Donna, the property manager was fantastic. We swam every day just below the apartment in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean. What an experience.... The scenery of the passing ships and yachts was spectacular and never ending. There is a great supermarket 10 minuets up the hill that sells everything you need. I am also going to put in a section word for the hairdresser up the road opposite the supermarket who did a fabulous job of doing Mum’s hair that was in a terrible state. We didn’t eat out once, why would we want to leave the best location in town? The washing machine was great and easy to use, as was the dishwasher. The beds were very comfortable and huge! I am already planning our next trip for 2020, this time it will be for longer than 5 days. Thank you Philippe for the privilege of staying in your apartment. We had a fantastic stay at the apartment. It is beautiful and extremely well equipped. The air conditioning for the master bedroom is a problem that is being addressed and in the meantime the portable unit did the job of keeping us cool enough. It was a good base for sightseeing in Nice as well as driving to other towns. We easily walked in to Vieux Nice and the Promenade Des Anglais and surrounding areas. We also loved the coastal walk right from the apartment as well as the path down to the sea. We swam twice and it was fantastic. I’m ready to move there but in lieu of that definitely want to return and would choose the same place.

This is a beautiful residence that has been wonderfully updated. It is exceptionally clean and well cared for. The views are fabulous with the sea literally below the balcony. We loved the location being away from the primary tourist beach strip as it made for peaceful days and evenings enjoying the sea, the birds, swimmers, kayaks, little sailboats and small fishing boats. Of course there are also regular sightings of some of the spectacular yachts that visit this area, plus some ferry traffic, but this is really a small part of the day and never seems to be particularly intrusive with noise. We like to dine out for lunches and cook in, particularly when the home is as lovely as this. There is a Carrefour about 750m up the hill which is well stocked with most everything you may need and Philippe even included a portable cart with which to tote our shopping back down the hill. Several swimming options are available along the waterfront.

We arrived at the place early.. It is as beautiful and comfortable as past reviews. On arrival, we were advised that the AC was not working in the master bedroom.. while all other ACs were working,, it was average temp in the 90's first few days of our 12 night stay even inside with Acs on... It was unbearable the first 2 nights ( we slept on provided inflatables). Phillipe (Owner) did step up.. there was an AC guy available and he brought in temporary portables for both bedrooms... worked great and made rest of stay more comfortable.although doors had to be kept open and we got mosquito bites.. the candles, as advised by Phillipe, being lit definitely helped... we had to constantly replace buckets of water from portable AC's due to portable ac use.. last few days.. ACs were not NEEDED as it cooled down. We could not figure out how to turn off 2nd bedroom built -in AC.. remote would not turn it off.These things do happen.. we tried to maintain a positive attitude.. Phillips and Donna did an AMAZING job to address the issue... This is very important to note as it is not always easy to get things cared for when you are far away. We would not hesitate to come back here again... beautiful place/ easy access/ central to NICE/Ville France/ CAP Ferrat/EZE/Monte Carlo/Cannes/ St Tropez/ Provence... we did all that .. we were here for a magical 4 day wedding... one of the days we had a 150 foot yacht from Cap Ferrat to Cannes, our 3 kids were at the Four Seasons for a pool day... Donna was able to meet them at the house to be let in by a private driver... how cool was that!!Great service/ attention to detail is amazing. Its would be a 5 star if not for the initial 2 days of absolute discomfort especially after a long trip from the US.Definitely recommended/ just make sure that everything is in working order.. not an issue during fall/winter/spring!!Thank you for allowing us to stay at your wonderful place!!

Location Location Location. This apartment was in a dream location, situated just along the coast from the port of Nice, gave easy access to Nice and VilleFranche-Sur-Mer. From inside looking out at the stunning view, it literally felt like you were floating on the water. The owner Philippe had thought of every small detail when fitting out the apartment, from binoculars for "boat watching" to a well fitted out kitchen. It was absolutely immaculate, with high quality furnishings throughout. We were warned about tight parking although we managed to fit in a 5 door hatch back, although for convenience we tended to use park on the road immediately outside. Whilst staying in France, the lovely Donna, was available and always came back promptly with answers to any questions we had, including recommendations for great places to eat! This was our first stay at this apartment when we consider France next, it will always be our first consideration when looking at availability. Thankyou Philippe (and Donna).

We were married 20 years ago in Nice... we came back from the states to celebrate and reconnect with family and friends nearby. In our younger years we used to walk by this neighborhood and property and think “can you imagine?”’and “maybe someday...” when we started researching we found this place and when Philippe said it was available, we were thrilled! It was spacious enough for my husband and I, our two kids and our best friends, another couple. We spent most of our time on that gorgeous deck- watching the boats go in and out of the port, our kids jumping off the rocks nearby, and drinking wine or coffee depending on the time of day! It was close enough to walk to restaurants- le plongeoir was our favorite (make a reservation) the bar below is fun, too! Philippe and Donna were easy to get a hold of if we needed anything! The place was immaculate and had everything we needed and more! We enjoyed every minute and would definitely recommend!!! It was the vacation of a lifetime for us! Thank you for your hospitality!

Our stay in Nice was wonderful! You cannot beat the view from this place! It's absolutely breathtaking. We had so much fun just sitting out on the back patio and watching the boats go by, the swimmers swimming by, the rock jumpers, etc. We played endless games of "I spy..." and enjoyed daily happy hours. The location was perfect for us as we were on the very edge of Nice, so you get the beautiful view but not the noise. It's also just a quick bus ride from Villafranche (a small, sleepy town with a lovely beach). I cannot say enough good things about Philippe Tromp (owner) and Donna Melbourne (woman that welcomed us and gave us the keys). They were both extremely responsive to any requests we had during our trip. After our wonderful 5-day stay we found out upon arriving at the Nice airport that our flight had been canceled due to an air traffic control strike. We ended up extending our trip by a day in France. I called Donna (the one person I knew in France) to see if she might be able to help us find a place to stay. This property wasn't available, but in less than 1 hour Donna found us the perfect little place to stay! This was an absolute life saver seeing as my husband and I were traveling with our 7 and 10 year old girls. Needless to say, if you stay at this property you will not only be in a beautiful spot with all the amenities, but if something "exciting" happens you can be confident that Philippe and Donna will be ready to help you!

The location, the view, and the apartment are absolutely stunning. The pictures really do not do it justice. The apartment is spacious, well furnished, and well maintained. There are many extras such as a Nespresso machine, individual room HVAC controls, and heated towel racks. The glassware, cutlery, and china are all top drawer. However, my favorite part of the apartment is the balcony and its devine views. Nice is wonderful, but the combination of Nice and this apartment is truly special. We already anticipate returning in the future.

If you come here, you will never want to leave!! My wife and I have stayed at numerous VRBO apartments and homes In France, and this house has the best view that we have ever seen. We live in Florida on the beach; yet, this view is as good, or better. The house is perched over the rocks, and so you have a perfect view of the ocean (luxury yachts going by all day), port of Nice (constantly busy with yachts, cruise ships, etc.) and the rocky shoreline below. We spent hours watching the locals, and tourists, walk along the beautiful coastline of the bay enjoying themselves, jumping from the rocks into the ocean and generally living the good life. The apartment is essentially all windows, from floor to ceiling, on two sides. Your view of the sea and bay is completely unobstructed, so you wake up looking at the city, and end the day watching the sun set over the mountains. Just spectacular!!! If you have some desk/computer work to do, this is the place to be ..... I sat at the kitchen table most days and barely felt like I was working because of the fabulous view. For those of you who cook, the kitchen has the same fantastic window views, from floor to ceiling. This apartment really shouldn't be missed, if you are coming to Nice. The apartment has clearly undergone a recent renovation, and all of the flooring, surfaces, furniture, etc., is in very good condition. The house is well air-conditioned in each room, with individual room controls. There is a large flat screen for anyone wanting to watch television, but it is hard to understand why you would watch television when the view out the full length windows is right next to the television? The outdoor patio has a full view of the port, city and ocean, so we enjoyed too much champagne on the balcony - if that is possible? You will want to move to Nice if you stay in Le Bamboury! ***Just one word of caution - the available parking spot is very tiny, and literally impossible to get into (worse to get out of it) with anything besides a Smart car (which the owner fully disclosed in the advertisement). After taking 20 minutes to get our small SUV out of the spot that is slightly blocked by two other cars, we decided to park on the street for the remainder of our week. The street parking was right across from the entrance and free. My suggestion - rent a small car, and enjoy PARADISE!! -Jim
