The hotel staff was friendly & helpful, but from there, things go downhill. Overall, our room was rather disappointing, & the general maintenance of the facility needed help. For instance, we often saw that the hallways went unvacuumed; bits of kleenex & lint remained in the same spot for 2-3 days. Our room also needed maintenance. The rolling chair at the desk had stained & worn upholstery; the bathroom floor (wood laminate - who puts wood laminate in a bathroom anyways!? Bathrooms should always be tiled) was coming up from the floor in many places & the paint in the bathroom was peeling & stained. Also, the cafe table in the room was too high; it didn't go with the seating area, so we had to sit on pillows to eat or write (& we are not short people). It was also very disappointing that there was absolutely nothing to eat with (no cups, plates, silverware; no cookware; not even a water boiler for tea!). They bill this as an extended stay, & there was a fridge, two-burner stove & microwave, but we ended up having to buy our own plasticware so we could at least have breakfast there. Anyone who wants to stay here should be aware of this. In short, it was disappointing & we probably wouldn't stay here again.

The lady there named Sandy was super amazing and nice. She helped us with a lot of things but the quality of the place was not so great. We had neighbors that were very sketchy and room service only came once per week. Room service kept forgetting to give us blankets and towels. But I would say Sandy made it a lot better.

WiFi is really bad, and the card reader for one of the outside doors stopped working multiple times. It would also be nice if they provided some kitchen utensils. Otherwise just an ok hotel

I booked this hotel for our guys traveling out of state. Your advertisement said it had a kitchen. There was nothing furnished like most places that offer this. When working across the country for a couple weeks, one doesn't pack a frying pan. When I called the front desk the gentleman told me corporate instructed them to remove everything from the rooms.You shouldn't advertise that there is a kitchen if there isn't anything in it. How many people travel with kitchen stuff??

Calling this place a hotel is a stretch. Front desk staff is extremely rude and unwilling to help, the room was disgusting with pungent smells, hair everywhere, cracked ceiling and broken light, housekeeping is once a week (a luxury not a requirement), the carpets (both hallway and room) and the bathroom were extremely dirty! The only thing that was done was a made bed, with how dirty and gross this place was it’s hard to tell if the bedding was even clean given the state of the room. I would never book an uptown suite ever again in fact, how is this place even calling itself a hotel? The pictures are a lie! Everything about this place was an absolute nightmare I could not stay in such unsanitary conditions! Horrible staff, disgusting room, and purely false advertising. You’ve been warned!

I have bug bites all over me. The only make your key to the room work 2 to 3 days unfriendly staff I left the hotel on the 25th. They still owe me from the 25th to 5 January. I would not stay in that hotel again . People play loud music at 1:32 3330 in the morning fire department was there.

Very dirty and poorly managed. It’s a shame because the area and condition of hotel is good and it seemed to have a recent renovation. Checked into first room and it smelled like a dog exploded. Requested room move and second room had squished roaches all over walls and behind night stands. Luckily I did not see any living so I requested housekeeping clean the bugs next day to avoid another room move. This never happened. I requested again by the morning manager the next day and again it never happened. I requested two more times with two more employees over the coming days to please clean the dead bugs and again was met with empty promises. At that point I gave up and just dealt with the dead bugs during the remainder of my stay. Never again. Employees seem unhappy and disengaged, management makes empty promises and not focused on guest service and hotel is dirty.

Got a room near a stairwell and the noise & banging doors was terrible. Talked to the manager the next morning and the rest of my stay (1 week) was nice. Save a buck. The place is clean and if something doesn’t work, just ask.

Overall stay was very good for the price. There was a smell in the actual room we stayed in but other than that it was very nice and comfortable.

The front desk clerk when we checked in was astoundingly rude -- ad to make things worse, she was training a new desk clerk at the time, so he saw her modeling this bad behavior. To be fair, the desk clerk who came on later in the day (MaiMai) was friendly and extremely helpful in trying to get our television set to work, even though she couldn't solve the problem. The other major disappointment was that even though we had a kitchenette, much of it was unusable because there were o pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or anything else one normally finds in a hotel kitchenette. There was a coffee make, a waste basket, an ice bucket, and an ice cube tray: that was it. Smaller problems were the TV that didn't work (we eventually diagnosed and fixed the problem on our own), a not-very-comfortable mattress, and the outside door nearest our room not being able to be opened (key pad not working) form the outside, despite the fact that it was a wheelchair entrance. (Anyone using a wheelchair would have had to go all the way around to the front of the building.) We could have overlooked most of these problems, and made a note in the future to bring our own kitchen implements as needed, but the shocking rudeness of the woman at the front desk will keep us from ever staying at an Uptown Suites again. No hotel should put someone at the front desk who has so little interest in customer service, and they certainly should not have her training others.

I booked 9 nights at this hotel on day 2 the elevator stopped working. We were on the 4th floor. I asked daily for an update to repair it and was met by rude employees and no outcome. I asked for another room on a lower floor and there was no rooms available. I was stuck up there with my disabled child because we needed the elevator to get in and out of the hotel.
