Perched above street level behind a lush garden and classic picket gate, this charming weatherboard home offers a character-rich retreat designed for comfort and relaxation. Unwind in one of two sunlit living rooms—each styled with decorative fireplaces, soft sofas, and vintage touches. Whether you're curling up with a book from the shelf, enjoying a film on the TV, or simply sharing a quiet conversation, there’s a cosy corner for every mood.

The modern kitchen invites easy meal preparation, complete with an island bench, induction cooktop, dishwasher, and thoughtful extras like a rice maker and BBQ utensils. Nearby, the dining area creates a relaxed atmosphere with a long timber table for six and soft lighting—perfect for slow meals. A small writing desk nearby creates a quiet nook for remote work.

Down the hall, restful nights await in two bedrooms, each fitted with a decorative fireplace and vintage-style wardrobe. The primary bedroom features a king bed, while the second offers a queen. After a day exploring Hobart, retreat to the bathroom for a spa-like experience, complete with a freestanding tub, walk-in rainfall shower and heated towel rail. Located near the dining area, the laundry includes a washer-dryer combo, ironing station, and vacuum—ideal for longer stays.

Every room is warmed by wall panel heaters, making it a cosy retreat in cold months. A high chair and a portacot are available on request. Off-street parking is available for one vehicle in the driveway.

This home is ideally positioned for exploring Hobart on foot. Just a six-minute stroll brings you to Pigeon Hole for a morning coffee, and in ten minutes, you can reach Paesano for hearty Italian fare. A 15-minute walk takes you into the CBD, with its boutiques, galleries, and historic charm. A short six-minute drive brings you to Salamanca Market, held each Saturday with local produce and handmade crafts. From there, wander down to the waterfront where the Derwent Ferry departs, browse at the Brooke Street Pier, a shopping centre offering Tasmanian products and gourmet treats, or dine at Aloft or Frank with stunning harbour views. Also nearby, the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, as well as the Maritime Museum of Tasmania, offer a deeper look into the region’s history.
