About this villa rental
Charming detached villa with pool, garden and sea views in the Western Algarve. A large airy sitting room with log fires for the winter and air-conditioning for the summer. This room has patio doors leading to the outside terrace. The dining room with seating for eight people also has patio doors leading to the outside terrace and swimming pool. Beautiful landscaped gardens with swimming pool (heated optional), an outside traditional Portuguese barbecue and sun loungers for pool side relaxing. There are three outside dining areas all with quality furniture seating eight people and all are covered by shade sails to keep out the harmful rays of the sun whilst still allowing you to tan below them. There are a number of wonderful restaurants within easy reach of the villa. For those wishing to travel to the nearby town of Lagos a large number of restaurants serving international cuisine as well as traditional good value Portuguese food can be found.

Bedroom 2 two 3ft singles or one king size bed, en-suite shower room.
Bedroom 3 two 3ft single beds, next to family bathroom.

I stayed for two weeks at Villa Julia in the Algarve, hosted by Jan, and after many years of traveling and staying in rental homes, I can honestly say this experience was exceptional. Seldom have I stayed somewhere that felt less like a rental and more like the home of a close and caring relative.Villa Julia was impeccably appointed, with comfortable furnishings, thoughtful touches throughout, and one of the most extensively provisioned kitchens I have ever encountered — there were even two refrigerators! The home was secure, alarmed, and beautifully maintained, and the heated pool quickly became a favorite gathering place for my family.The housekeeping service came twice weekly to clean, change linens, and even offered ironing services had we needed them. Every detail reflected care and hospitality.What truly set this experience apart, however, was Jan herself. Her responsiveness, kindness, and genuine investment in our vacation were extraordinary. She provided brilliant recommendations for restaurants, beaches, and activities, helped arrange cellar tours and special dining experiences, and shared her extensive local knowledge of Luz and the Algarve to our tremendous benefit.This was, without question, one of the best vacations my family has ever had. For the first time ever after a two-week stay, my family said they did not want to leave. Even now, I find myself missing Villa Julia and the Algarve daily, and I would return in a New York minute.Thank you, Jan.

We all loved the villa, inside and out. The garden is well established and a lovely place to sit in. There are several areas to sit, relax or eat. The whole family enjoyed the pool. My 5 year old granddaughter learnt to swim in it- great size for children. It is also well maintained once a week. The property is well equipped in the kitchen and bedrooms. The owner is very approachable and employs an agent to oversee the property. I believe a car is pretty essential as the beach and shops are a little distance away. We were all very happy with our stay in Villa Julia and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

I spent 8 days at the villa with my family. The villa was spacious and comfortable for 6 adults. We love to cook and the villa has a wonderfully well stocked kitchen. We made many delicious and a fun meals.
The location is handy for both Luz and Lagos. My kids enjoyed the running paths and the pool.
Jan and her team were responsive and helpful and Jan had excellent wine recommendations. All in all, a lovely time at a lovely spot.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Julia. The location of the house was within walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. The view from the house was wonderful and the beds were very comfortable. We were very pleased with our stay. Thank you for a relaxing vacation!
