Garden Cottage and Bunkie at Horner Park

The space was small but organized thoughtfully so a lot of functionality is packed in. It is tastefully decorated. Everything is well labeled. The most important thing for me is for the bed and pillows to be comfortable and I was really happy with the bed. The second most important thing for me is that the bathroom be clean, easy to access and use and be well appointed with towels etc. This was the case here but much more than that. The tile was clean and attractive. My husband was raving about the shower. He said it was like waves of water washing over him. We both liked the provided toiletries such as the body wash, shampoo and conditioner. They all smelled really good and didn't cause me any discomfort as someone with chemical sensitivities. If our stay were longer, we would have taken more advantage of the kitchen but it seemed better appointed than most vacation rentals as far as the provided cooking implements. It was also well stocked with a good number of spices that looked fresh. They even had some interesting cookbooks there including one by one of my all time favorites, Melissa Clark. The bunkie was adorable and comfortable for our son. It was nice for him to have his own separate space as a teenager. The garden is also very charming. The hosts were friendly and responsive. If we come back to Victoria, we will seek this place out again. Nicely done!

Some guests arrived at the cottage next to ours which is managed by the same family. They arrived around 11pm when we were trying to sleep and they sat outside talking loudly right next to were we were staying. To be fair, they didn't know that our cottage was anything other than a garage so they had no idea we were there. It would have helped if they had known that we were staying there. I don't know if they had guidelines about quiet hours or not but they didn't seem to be aware of them.
