Shell Shack

The house was very clean upon arrival and the home was stocked with dishes and utensils. The location was excellent, as it was near the beach; this, coupled with being dog friendly was the reason for the rental. We also liked the secure vinyl fence, another reason we rented, as well as the enclosed porch. The enclosed porch was lifesaver.

The only bathroom/shower is almost in the kitchen. We found this lacked privacy after a shower and just felt gross going to the bathroom, right next to where you should eat and prepare food. The AC unit is on its last leg and makes a desperate screeching noise; we worried about running it at all, so didn't turn it down until at night. The ceiling fan in the "master bedroom" is wobbly and we were fearful of it falling on us. It's really tiny; I can't imagine more than 2-3 people staying there for more than a couple of days. I really did not like the excessive amount of emails and texts from Homestead, particularly related to marketing.
