At first glance, the house appears relatively new, visually clean, and thoughtfully designed. The interior styling was appealing, the bedding was tidy and lightly used, and overall the property gave a good first impression. The host also showed goodwill in certain areas, such as agreeing to an infant stay beyond the original booking and purchasing a baby chair, which we appreciated. However, despite these points, the property was not suitable for a long-term family stay, particularly for a household with young children, and did not meet expectations based on how it was advertised. Hot water capacity was insufficient. : There was no prior notice about any limitation, yet the water heater was too small for a family of six. After washing children and doing dishes, adults or older children often had to wait late at night or shower with cold or lukewarm water. Effectively, only one bathroom could be used at a time. Shower privacy and limited hot water. : Both bathrooms have long windows for ventilation, which allow a clear view from outside into the shower area. For privacy, we used two long mats we had on hand to cover the windows while showering, and left the daily-used mat behind when we left. Due to this visibility issue and insufficient hot water, one of the bathrooms was never used. This may be an important consideration for future guests, as prior reviews have mentioned lower ratings due to the lack of privacy in the showers. Ventilation, humidity, and mold were ongoing issues. : Bathrooms had no mechanical ventilation, only windows, resulting in visible mold, including on wooden shelves, which could not be fully removed despite repeated cleaning. The house overall was extremely humid, with condensation and mold forming daily on windows and near the yard-facing doors. Continuous rain and winter conditions made this impossible to manage, even with daily ventilation.
Laundry and drying facilities. : Due to high humidity in the house, laundry did not dry quickly, and the single drying rack provided was insufficient for a family of six during a one-month stay. We purchased about 30 hangers to manage daily laundry. For practical long-term use, additional drying options or a clothes dryer would be necessary. Hygiene and pest-related concerns were present. : Upon arrival, dead insects and spider webs were found under furniture. During the stay, spiders and ants were frequently seen indoors, including near children’s belongings. A rat was also observed in the yard during the stay, which was particularly concerning for a family with young children. Safety and maintenance standards were inadequate. : A ceiling light fell from above head height due to a broken cord (not caused by guest use). Furniture showed significant wear, including rattan chairs shedding material. The remote control was damaged and missing its protective cover, indicating maintenance issues. Heating and electricity were unreliable. : Using the heater caused repeated power outages. The heater was later replaced with a radiator. While this showed an effort to respond, the solution did not fully consider safety in a home with infants. Parking information was inaccurate. : Although parking was advertised on other channels, the garage was not usable due to a broken door, leaving only street parking. Kitchen and children’s facilities were limited for a family stay. : There were no child-appropriate dishes. We purchased our own plastic tableware, a dishwashing basket, and a cutting board for hygienic use, as the provided cutting board was very small and heavily worn. As our winter stay was the property’s first since opening in Spring 2025, we faced humidity and heating challenges. Travelers should note that the northern mountains are significantly windier and more humid than the milder south, making ventilation and laundry more difficult.
