Diavaide Apartment

Wir hatten eine verkehrsgünstige ruhige Lage auf dem Land gesucht und mit der Unterkunft auch gefunden. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für die Selbstversorgung waren sehr gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Zum nächsten Strand gelangten wir mit dem Leihwagen in ca. 20 Minuten. Die Lage ist aber auch sehr gut als Ausgangpunkt für Wanderungen geeignet. Landschaftlich ist Diavaide sehr idyllisch und ursprünglich. Ganz besonders im Mai zu empfehlen. Wir fühlten uns durch die Vermieter sehr willkommen geheißen, außerordentlich gut versorgt und aufgehoben. Betont werden muss unbedingt die außergewöhnliche Freundlichkeit der Vermieter und der Einwohner*innen im Dorf. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit Balkon. Es kann/sollte auch selbst gekocht werden, alles da. Einfach mal hinfahren und selber ausprobieren.

A very nice and comfortable apartment in the center of the tiny village of Diabaidhe. Owners Sabine and Sifis are very kind and helpful people. There is a nice terrace and tv, WiFi, cooking facilities, coffee and tea facilities, a fridge, a washing machine. Fruit and marmelade is offered and maybe also a raki... I was a little bit ill and they made tea with honey for me. I had a very nice stay of two days. Good walking possibilities. I recommend a walk to Kato Karouzana and/or Ano Karouzana which both have a tavern... Lots of shops and restaurants in nearby Kastelli. Sifis also arranged a very honest cab driver for me for the ride to my next destinaton.

Freshly renovated apartment, kitchen is new and functional. The climate in this hillside is dry and chilly at night, so you will rarely use the air conditioning. Sifis, Sabine, Petros and his grandfather are the kindest and most hospitable hosts I have ever met. They do produce outstanding Olive oil and marmalade as well as soap. But what really strikes is the good and welcoming heart of everyone. Don't miss this experience

You will miss them once you leave and you will want to return again!!
