Hotel Locanda Ca Foscari

The location is absolutely perfect for visiting. Venice. The host Andrea is a good man. There are places to eat for breakfast and lunch and dinner, literally 25 metres from the accommodation.

The property is advertised as a hotel but currently undergoing renovation. It is more like an Airbnb as apart from the lovely housekeeping lady, there are no permanent staff on premises. The rooms do not have en suite and on my floor there was a separate toilet and a further toilet shower room. All that said, I would stay there again because it was just somewhere to sleep and store my belongings whilst exploring the wonderful city of Venice.

Lovely location, easy walking distance from the bus, and central when it comes to the rest of the city. Simple, clean room, comfortable bed -- (double bed was 2 single mattresses together), responsive host.

No elevator, which isn't ideal if you would need help carrying luggage up a few flights of steps. Internet didn't work upstairs, just at the landing. No kettle/microwave available, very small shower door.

The beds were incredibly comfy and firm (if thats how you like you matress) The wifi works well, the towels and bedding were clean and fresh. Enough toilet roll to build your own bedroom fort. If you are looking for a safe, comfortable and really cost effect central stay city break this is perfect for you. We decided to try and help the local places to the hotel: Cafe Noir - Late night spot for good vibes, music and incredible late night italian pub food Trattoria Pizzeria San Toma' - Beautiful court yard dinning the Orange Duck was stunning Bar All'Angolo Ca'Foscari - Great breakfast options Donini Beatrice - Wonderful off grid court yard I could go on!

We couldnt stay for longer - nothing to do with the hotel - but the late night water taxi just isnt a vibe.

The location was perfect, right on the main island, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean with a toilet bidet and shower (but shared with others on the same floor) and towels were provided, there were windows on two sides of the room with pretty views, and the sink in the room was extra convenient.

There was no check-in desk and no available staff, no where to leave bags after check out to continue exploring for the day, it was loud at night, and there was no wifi.
