Scenic Escape - BEST views of Lake Tahoe

Truly a fantastic view of the Lake. Easy to get comfortable in the two-level unit. Close to the Kingsbury Grade (near the summit) so very convenient but also just a tad noisy (but with the sliding doors closed it was very quiet even so). Close to the Tahoe Rim Trail for a fun walk or jog.

People with mobility concerns should be aware that there are (exactly to my wife's and my count) 90 stair-steps from the parking area to the front door. I had stayed in the region before and this was about 15 less than the prior place, so I was ready for it and consider it well worth the effort for the great view. A couple things for the owners to consider: the odd first step at the top of the staircase is not that visible and twice I stepped into thin air, forgetting there was a one-step drop to the hear of the stairs. Also, at night, a number of stretches on the stair cases up (those 90 stair steps!) are very dark. It seems that the motion activated runner lights are not coming on. Also, the place is getting just a little tired. Some of the wall plug receptacles don't hold plugs anymore, the shower handles aren't affixed to the spindles and come off easily, the upstairs bathroom window won't open. But these are small things, and I personally wouldn't fold them into any decision about whether to choose the place again or not.
