About this house rental
Our house is located in the fishing village of Le Canon, an authentic place at the foot of the Arcachon basin.
The Basque style of the house gives it a certain charm. From its terrace, you can see the basin, and the Dune du Pyla, emblematic of the region. The house is surrounded by pine trees, it has a garden where in the past, as children, we used to make cabins.
The village is less "populated" in summer than the tip of Cap Ferret. More authentic, it offers simple pleasures, fishing on the pontoon, swimming on the small beaches, or why not an aperitif at "Le bar"? And then, the presence of the Piraillan market five minutes away allows you to taste local products.
A stone's throw from the house, you can take the cycle paths to discover the peninsula, from a short family excursion to a sporty outing!
Endless fun, an aperitif in the fishermen's huts, with oysters and white wine! There is always room. Breathtaking view of the colours of the basin, and the bird island, opposite.
The particularity of the peninsula: being able to enjoy quiet days on the beaches of the basin, or prefer the ocean, where surfing is king. Many surf schools offer courses, for parents and/or children. Ideal.
